The competition will take place on May 22nd at 8:30 am at
Kajukenbo Arizona, 2602 West Baseline #1 Mesa, AZ 85202.
Registration fee is $35. Deadline for registration is May 19th at 10:00pm. NO EXCEPTIONS
The brackets will be released day of the tournament by hosting team.
Medals will be awarded to the 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place only.

Rules and Regulations
Kajukenbo Arizona will not tolerate any unsportsmanlike-like conduct. Any disrespectful
behavior will result in immediate disqualification and removal from the premises of the
athlete, with no refund of the registration fee.
The weigh in system is the same used by IBJJF. The competitor will weigh in before his
first match. If you don't make weight, you will be immediately disqualified. Please make
sure that you are in the correct weight category. You cannot change divisions, if you do
not make your designed division. No changes will be accepted on the day of the
tournament, and no refunds will be made. We offer an extra scale for people to check
their weights before.
No Stalling: Referee will issue one negative point for the 1st offense of stalling (i.e.
backing out of the guard without engaging, no activity, and running out of the ring to
avoid takedown or submission attempts). A 2nd offense will result in a 2 Points
deduction. A 3rd offense will result in a disqualification.
Wrestling shoes or any type of shoes, head gear, shirts under the gi (except for girls)
and any kind of protectors (Including cup!) that can alter the outcome of the match in
any way are not allowed in competition.
Hygiene: All competitors will be checked for communicable disease, not limited to but
including flu, cold, ring-worm, staph and herpes.

Throws, takedowns, knee on the belly and sweeps - 2 points
Passing the guard - 3 points
Mount/taking the back - 4 points

I (and/or my child) fully recognize the risk of injury and or illness inherent in participating in any fitness or martial arts program and
we represent to the school that we have taken all reasonable steps to determine and here by warrant that we are in good health and
physically capable of participating in the programs and courses of instruction offered by the school. We acknowledge that the school
shall make no and shall have no responsibility to make any independent evaluation of our physical health or fitness. We understand
and agree that all participation in any fitness program or use of the school's facilities or equipment on or off the premises of the
school shall be at our own risk. We hereby release, indemnify and hold harmless Corder Martial Arts Academy Inc dba Kajukenbo
Arizona, and it's officers, directors, employees and agents, from and against any and all claim, demands, damages cost and
liabilities of any kind or nature including attorney's fees and costs for injury to or death of myself or of any person who became
entitled to use of the facilities of the school which arise directly or indirectly out of or in connection with our participation in any
program or course of instructions either on or off the premises of the school or by virtue of our presence at the school or at any of
the schools off premises events whether or not in fact we or such other person are then participation in any particular program or
event. We understand and agree that the school shall not be responsible for the conduct of other users of the school or it's facilities
or conduct and we shall bring any action or proceeding against the school for any payment compensation or claim for any loss of life
or injury caused by any such user.

I love watching these types of competition. And, I love the rules and regulations section of your post. It tells me a lesson that people who are fond of this are well disciplined and they do have that good sense of character within them.
